Growing Pains
Growing pains
I got some sunflowers seeds, a vase, and some dirt a while ago.
All the things required to make a plant grow.
I put some dirt into the vase and planted two sunflower seeds, watered it and
left it to grow.
It started to grow overnight it seemed.
It was healthy, tall, and green
but after sometime it started to wither away.
I tried watering it and giving it more sunlight.
I wanted so badly to see it blossom.
Though it had all the proper means to grow it still died.
Sometimes things can only grow so much,.
Ironically my life was just like the plant.
I planted the right seeds into my life and I too started to grow, but now I’m stganant.
I realized that my plant died because the season changed.
Maybe some seasons are not meant for you to grow no matter how much you’d like to blossom.
Everyone has growing pains.

Beautiful things come broken
Have you ever looked at a cracked screen?
It starts from one place and branches off
Each crack is unique.
Over time as the crack spreads it looks more shattered
Have you ever noticed how every cracked screen is different? They all tell a different story.
Some screens hurt when you touch them but some are smooth
How does something so ruined looks so beautiful? Something so destroyed still tell a story? How is something so broken still able to inflict pain?
How can something whole, be in pieces?
As I stared at my screen… I realized my thoughts had nothing to do with the cracked screen but everything to do with the girl staring back at me.
